Derek Stephens specializes in commercial real estate sales. Derek joined the firm after spending the previous 10 years at Marcus & Millichap's Downtown Los Angeles office primarily focusing on the sales of industrial warehouses south of Downtown Los Angeles. After a successful 10-year run at Marcus & Millichap in which Derek became the top industrial agent in Los Angeles at the company, it was time to join forces with his father Jerry Stephens at their family run brokerage Diversified Realty, Inc. Jerry brings 47 years of experience to the table that includes 40 years of being the top agent of commercial and residential land sales in the city of Moreno Valley. Together, they have closed over a billion dollars of real estate transactions.
Derek attributes his success to a combination of his intimate market and product knowledge, problem-solving skills, relentless work ethic, and unwavering commitment to clients. Derek graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (Finance Concentration) from California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB) and with a Master’s in Accounting from the University of Southern California (USC). He holds both a Certified Public Accountant’s license (CPA) and a real estate license in the state of California.
Since beginning his career at Marcus & Millichap, he has successfully closed transactions over $150,000,000. In the years 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2022, Derek was the top Office and Industrial Agent in the Los Angeles office.

Jerry Stephens was born and raised in Southern California during the Aerospace boom of the 1950’s. Jerry’s parents Jerome and Lydia met at Douglas Aircraft in 1953 and raised Jerry in Garden Grove and the city of Orange in Orange County. During his youth, Jerry was able to witness the tremendous building boom of Orange County throughout the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. At the age of 25, Jerry determined that the next region of Southern California that would go through incredible growth similar to Orange County would be the Inland Empire. Thus, Jerry moved to Moreno Valley in 1979 and opened up his first Real Estate Land Brokerage firm and the rest is history.
Jerry has made a significant impact on the development of Riverside County but most specifically the city of Moreno Valley. Since founding his brokerage in 1979, Jerry has brokered over $1 billion dollars in land sales for development, specializing in large-scale projects that have helped to shape the city of Moreno Valley and beyond.
Jerry's expertise in the real estate industry is unparalleled, with a deep knowledge of the local market and a vast network of contacts within the industry. He is known for his exceptional negotiating skills and unwavering dedication to his clients, working tirelessly to ensure that their goals are met and their expectations exceeded.
Jerry's most notable deals include representing Highland Fairview in the acquisition of 2,600 acres to construct the World Logistics Center - a project that will encompass 40.6 million square feet of industrial warehouses, making it one of the largest logistics centers in the world. He also sold 3,400 acres for the Moreno Valley Ranch that now includes 8,000 homes and an 18-hole golf course, the Moreno Valley Junior College. Jerry also developed/built 80 acres for what is now the Moreno Valley Auto Mall in addition to developing thousands of lots for homebuilders.
